Fruits of the Holy Spirit - Grace Evangelical Church in Hamilton

Who is the Holy Spirit? Holy Spirit is God's Spirit, God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, they are all one. When Jesus was on this earth, He was full of the Holy Spirit and even though Jesus was God, he lived on this earth with the limitations of a man, and because Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit he performed all miracles by the power of Holy Spirit. And he was setting up an example for us that we can do greater things than what Jesus did only if we live a life without sin and believe in God. Only if we believe and invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, we can perform greater miracles than Jesus ever did. If you have the Holy Spirit in you that's very good. But if you don't have the Holy Spirit in you and want to receive the Holy Spirit, please say the prayer below. "Jesus, come into my Heart. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that you died for me on the cross and you've forgiven my sins. Holy Spirit, I invite you into my h...

Why go to Church? Can I be a Christian without going to Church?

So What is a Church? Is is the building that defines what is Church or is it the people that makes up the church? Church is the body of Christ and Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Christ died for the Church, we are the church, which means Jesus Christ died for us so that we can live a life like Jesus did. Jesus lived and modeled a life that we as followers of Jesus should live. He lived a sinless life. He never sinned. and lived a life that was pleasing to God. So we are the church and we carry Jesus in us wherever we go. Church is when a group of people gather together with the sole purpose of worshiping Jesus and learn more about God. Why Go to Church? Can you be a Christian without going to Church? Some people might say well I pray to God at my house and I don't have to go to church. Well they are not right. They think they are right and they're deceiving themselves. This way you can be a christian but you can't be a follower of Jesus, because just you ...

Unashamed of Sharing the gospel

Image
Pastor Philippe Coetzee shares this week sermon at Grace Evangelical Church about not being ashamed of sharing the gospel. Pastor shares from Romans 1:16, where Paul says about him not being ashamed of sharing the gospel.  So just like Paul we should not be ashamed of the gospel. Paul says in Romans 1:16, 16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of Godthat brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.   17  For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, [ a ]  just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” [ b ]  And Christians as followers of Jesus, we need to share about Jesus to others because others need to know about who Jesus is. People just know Jesus as a person, the he died on a cross, we need to tell them that he is the son of God, that was sent to die for our son and only if they be...
