Why on Earth am I here for?

Have you ever thought why on earth are you here for? What's your purpose for your life? Does your life matter? We often ask these questions at some stage of our life. You can try to figure out life by yourself by watching TEdTalks, Inspirational videos, read inspiring books. Life isn't about how successful you are, how much money you make, how big house you own, the kind of car you drive. None of these matters. The person who can help you find your purpose of your life is God. He knows your purpose of life because he created you. and He knows everything about you he even knew you even before you were born.
Ephesians 1:4 says,
Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Because of his love.

Also Isaiah 44:2 says
I am the Lord who created you;
from the time you were born, I have helped you.
Do not be afraid; you are my servant,
my chosen people whom I love.

So because God created us, you and me, we have a purpose for our life. Everything God created has a purpose, everything means everything.

Here's a video by Pastor Rick Warren about our purpose for our life.

Our life on earth is preparation for eternity in Heaven. This is our meaning for life on earth.
He put on earth to prepare us what we ought to do when are with him in Heaven.
What we do here on earth matters for eternity. That's How much we matter to God. We were made to last forever.

2 Corinthians 5:1 says
For we know that when this tent we live in—our body here on earth—is torn down, God will have a house in heaven for us to live in, a home he himself has made, which will last forever.

So this earthly body that we live, is a temporary thing, when our time on earth is done, we will live in heaven, in a house made by God himself for us.

Colossians 1:16
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him."

So why did God created us and what's our purpose for life.

1. God created us to Love us: After God has created the whole creation, such as the birds, trees, animals, mountains, sea creatures – big and small alike, everything in all creation, then in Genesis 1:26 says like this, “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So, God created us, you and me in his own likeness, so that he can love us. Because He loves us, He wants us to love him back. But at the same time, He gave us free will, He does forces us to love him that’s why He gave us free will and He wants us to love him from our own free will. and When we love God and worship him from our free will, that’s what we were created for. To worship Him with all our heart.
2. Learn to love others: God wants us to love Him and when you love Him, you will love your neighbor  as well. Encouraging and helping our brothers and sisters and when we do this, this pleases God. Jesus also said this, Love God and love your neighbour, if you do this, you will have eternal life. So as a Christian, be a part of a family, body of Christ, which is church. Find a local church and be a part of it. Use your skills, whatever God has blessed you with and use it to bless other people and the body of Christ.
3. Grow up spiritually: God wants us to grow up, mature in our faith, Day by day, we should grow up in our faith. If you’ve been a christian and you’re still the same when you started, then there’s something wrong, you need to change the way you’re doing your christian life. Examine what is stopping you from growing in God and get rid of it from your life.
4. Allow God to adopt you: God is our father and he loves us more than we can imagine. There’s nothing you or me can do that can change his love for us. But in order to be a son, you need to first allow God to adopt you and be your father so that you can have a personal relationship with God like a father has with his son.
5. Destroy the Enemy: God put us on this planet earth so that we can destroy the work of the devil in obedience to God. This is what Isaiah 61 says, The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. So here we go. God has anointed us, He has given us the authority to set free the captives from darkness, heal the sick and the broken hearted. So step out in faith and destroy the work of the enemy in this world.
6. The Great Co-mission: Before Jesus left this earth, Jesus instructed his disciple to, “Go and make disciples of all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”. So we as disciples of Jesus, our mission to make disciples of all nations. Everywhere we go, heal the sick, cast of demons, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead! Yes you heard it, raise the dead. We can raise the dead, because we have been authorized by Jesus to do so, because the same Holy Spirit that was on Jesus is in us.
