Our Co-Mission as Disciples of Jesus
Jesus came to this earth because He was sent by the Father to reveal the Father to us. To show us that the Father loves us and cares for us. He always thinks about us, good things about us. For God has a plan for all of us, plan to prosper us and not harm us.
Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, he co-commissioned his disciples to go and preach the gospel everywhere they go.
In Matthew 10:8, it says, "As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ 8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give".
Jesus commissioned us with something that we cannot do on own. We can't heal people from sickness. we don't have that supernatural power within us, but when we invite Jesus into our life, Holy Spirit resides in us and through the power of the Holy Spirit we can heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead. Yes, we can raise the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sometime I hear some people that tell me like, man I want to do the will of God in my life, I just don't know what is God's will for my life. I just tell them that God's will for your life is that you love him with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. God's will for your life is also that you tell others about him and to bring the kingdom of heaven down to earth. and when we bring the kingdom of heaven down to earth, sickness disappears, people get set free from demons, people who are dead come back to life.
Jesus commissioned and authorized us to go and heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead. He assured us that he will never leave us nor forsake us. He will always be with us no matter wherever we go.
So if you see someone who is sick, pray for them and they will get healed. If you see someone who is possessed by demons, pray for them and they will get free form the demonic spirit.
